Vitromex’s history begins August 1966 when our Chairman of the Board Don Isidro López del Bosque and our Operations President Don Javier López del Bosque signed the constitution act of what was at that time only a dream that matured. On November 1967 the first plant was inaugurated in the city of Saltillo with the dream of satisfying the needs of millions of people of building their homes; and who have found in Vitromex that which they were searching for to help them turn that home into a place of good taste and inspiration in accordance to their expectations, achieving this through the enormous fan of options that Vitromex’s products has placed at their disposal.

Because of that Vitromex, through the years has expanded its line of products and has become an international reference in the tiles, floors and accessories manufacturing industry, becoming one of the most important companies in the ceramic category nationwide, always looking for innovation in design at international levels and in production standards for the benefit of our customers.

Strategically located within the national territory, we have five plants with a combined yearly capacity of more than 530,200 square feet of ceramic coverings. Our international distribution center located in the United States provides our customers complete trust in the products we provide through our response capabilities and after sale services thus consolidating one of the largest coverages for a company in this category with foreign operations .

In 1996, Vitromex USA, Inc. was established in San Antonio, TX to help facilitate sales into the United States.

Vitromex USA opened a new 145,000 square feet distribution center in Laredo, Texas to help meet increased customer demand for the company’s products throughout the U.S. The facility boasts a side yard of 50,000 square feet, 20 loading docks and will warehouse all Vitromex/Artemis products.

Because of our achievements, the principles that have been present for so many years continue to be effective since Vitromex started operations with a few valuable people and only one kiln where they made toilet bowls, tanks, sinks and bathroom accessories to what today has become a ceramic coating company that can satisfy the needs of any customer with the most diverse format, design and product options with the highest quality standards and the latest technology in each manufactory translating into benefits for all involved in the process, employees, communities, distributors, customers and shareholders; and working so that these benefits grow exponentially to put our pledge, dedication and commitment with the country and all who live therein.
